Uplight is creating a new category of energy by developing software that manages energy resources to support the transition to clean energy. They are seeking a Pricing Analyst II to collaborate with various teams, analyze financial data, and refine pricing strategies to drive profitability and efficiency.


Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with engineering, operations, product management, go-to-market, and strategy teams to review pricing submissions
  • Analyze and present financial data to identify trends, opportunities, and risks in our pricing strategies
  • Collect, aggregate, and analyze financial data to understand profitability, track competitive trends, and continuously improve our pricing models
  • Run pricing models through different scenarios to inform program design and pricing decisions
  • Work closely with operational owners to continually refine the Uplight’s pricing metrics, including ongoing refinement of margin-driving data sources

Skills

  • 2-4 years of financial modeling experience, preferably in SaaS and/or within regulated industry
  • Previous experience or familiarity with SaaS business models, variable pricing models, value metrics, unit economics, and financial modeling
  • Advanced proficiency with Google Sheets/Excel
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills with attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to take full ownership of projects, operating independently and proactively in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to manage time and priorities effectively within an ambiguous & fast-paced environment
  • Prior experience with financial metrics, pricing strategies, and deal structures
  • Familiarity with variable pricing models
  • Experience working with different roles including sales, engineering, product management

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or related field
