University of Massachusetts Global (UMass Global) is a private nonprofit institution that offers online academic programs for nontraditional learners. They are seeking a full-time faculty member to join the School of Business and Professional Studies as an Assistant or Associate Professor of Business and Data Analytics, responsible for course design, teaching, and student mentoring.


Responsibilities

  • Manage and teach courses in the Business and Data Analytics portfolio, as well as other selected business courses
  • Promote student success through program innovation
  • Mentor and advise students to support academic and professional success
  • Collaborate with faculty to maintain program quality and relevance
  • Engage in institutional and school-specific service activities
  • Other duties as assigned

Skills

  • Minimum two years of exemplary online teaching experience in higher education
  • Minimum two years of experience in online course development and program management
  • Experience working effectively with nontraditional adult learners
  • Familiarity with current trends, best practices, and innovative practices in teaching adult learners within the discipline area
  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills
  • Dedication to ongoing professional development in the discipline area
  • Commitment to uphold institutional policies and guidelines regarding academic integrity, student support, and assessment processes
  • Terminal degree from an accredited university in Business or Data Analytics or a closely related discipline
  • Business and/or Data Analytics experience, preferably in industry, within a managerial or strategic capacity
  • PMP (or equivalent) and/or PMI-ACP (or similar)
  • Proficiency with standard analytics stacks, databases, versioning, dashboarding, and advanced Excel, Python, and/or R
  • Experience in course development and management of both traditional and competency-based models

Education Requirements

  • Master's degree from an accredited university in Business or Data Analytics or a closely related discipline
