About the position

Responsibilities

  • Manage incoming lab results based on infusion schedule and per MD order.
  • Add lab results to patients' chart in Caretend as appropriate.
  • Receive verbal orders and document per protocol.
  • Communicate effectively with LabCorp regarding results, missing results, and missing requisition information.
  • Report lab results to appropriate personnel.
  • Assess patients' telephonically regarding critical lab results.
  • Communicate effectively with interprofessional team in Monday and AlayaCare as appropriate.

Requirements

  • College degree/certification required or equivalent experience.
  • RN: 2 years (Required).
  • ER/ICU/Infusion: 1 year preferred (critical thinking).
  • Infusion experience in a hospital or Home Health setting: 1 year (Preferred).

Nice-to-haves

  • Ability to multi-task and frequently change direction.
  • Experience in coordinating/scheduling lab draws.
  • Participation in department QA activities.
