Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Warehouse Lead to oversee daily operations within our warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a comprehensive understanding of warehouse management processes, including inventory control, logistics, and distribution. This role is crucial for ensuring efficiency and safety in our warehouse operations while maintaining high standards of quality and service.

Duties

  • Supervise and coordinate daily warehouse activities, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and operational procedures.
  • Manage inventory control processes, including receiving, storing, and shipping products accurately.
  • Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency in warehouse operations.
  • Oversee the training and development of warehouse staff, fostering a collaborative team environment.
  • Utilize warehouse management systems to track inventory levels and optimize storage solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and maintain a safe working environment for all employees.
  • Collaborate with logistics teams to coordinate shipping and receiving activities effectively.
  • Conduct regular inspections of equipment and machinery, applying mechanical knowledge as necessary.
  • Handle heavy lifting and materials handling tasks as required.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in warehouse management or as a warehouse supervisor.
  • Strong knowledge of inventory management practices and logistics operations.
  • Familiarity with e-commerce fulfillment processes is a plus.
  • Proficient in using warehouse management systems (WMS) such as AS400.
  • Experience operating forklifts and other material handling equipment.
  • Ability to lift heavy items safely and efficiently.
  • Excellent team management skills with a focus on process improvement.
  • Understanding of 3PL (third-party logistics) operations is advantageous.
