As a member of this team, you'll be part of a 24/7 operation that caters to the HR needs of 1.5 million Amazonians across the globe. Your expertise will be crucial in resolving employee inquiries related to Time Away, Work Events, Life Events, and Pay & Compensation services.
As an HR Professional in our Compassionate Care Support Services Team, you'll be expected to demonstrate a high level of emotional intelligence, empathy, and professionalism when interacting with employees. You'll be the first point of contact for many employees who are navigating challenging situations, and your support will be instrumental in ensuring they receive the care and assistance they need.
Key Responsibilities
- Take ownership of employee contacts, ensuring that each issue is resolved with a high degree of problem-solving and customer obsession.
- Respond to employee inquiries via phone, chat, tickets, and emails, providing personalized support and resolving issues efficiently.
- Utilize available documentation, such as FAQs, knowledge base articles, and standard operating procedures, to resolve inquiries holistically, and escalate complex issues when necessary.
- Build trust with employees through empathetic and personalized conversations, adapting your resolution plan to meet their changing needs.
- Respond to critical issues that may impact employees, ensuring timely communication and documentation, even in situations where information is limited.
- Apply critical thinking and high judgment to balance process adherence with employee needs, analyzing and deciding on resolutions for their requests.
- Collaborate with partner teams to resolve cross-functional issues, update policies, and improve processes.
Essential Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree from a reputable institution.
- 0-10+ years of experience in a contact center, customer service, human resources, or equivalent experience.
- Fluent communication and writing skills in English (proficiency level: +85%).
- Schedule flexibility to support a 24x7 operation.
- A reliable internet connection with a speed range of 50-100 Mbps.
Preferred Qualifications
While not mandatory, the following qualifications will give you a competitive edge:
- 5+ years of experience in a contact center, customer service, human resources, or equivalent experience.
- Basic knowledge of US legislation related to Leave of Absence and Accommodations.
- Familiarity with US federal and state leave and disability laws.
- Experience providing consultation and guidance on human resources, benefits, or complex employee matters.
- Exceptional empathy skills and experience dealing with customers in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to manage confidential and sensitive employee information while adhering to strict data privacy standards.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and time management skills.
