The Opportunity: Under general guidance and supervision of the Customer Service Supervisor or Digital Services Supervisor, oversees processes to expedite the processing/issuance of marriage licenses and acceptance/submittal of passport applications to the United States Department of State. Incumbents serving in this classification perform the most complex duties within the assigned function at the full performance level and are responsible for leading and training others. Performs other statutory obligations of the Clerk’s office, as assigned. Starting Pay: Grade 718 $20.22 - $23.27 Hourly Schedule: 10:30 a.m. - 7:30 p.m. Monday - Friday, and one Saturday a month 9:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m., with one day off that week Job Qualifications: 1. High School diploma or equivalent. 2. Five (5) years of complex clerical support or customer service work experience, including two (2) years closely related to the duties described above. 3. Equivalent combinations of education and experience may also be considered. Preferred Candidates will possess some of the below attributes: 1. Preference may be given to applicants who have a documented typing speed at or above the rate of forty (40) WPM net. 2. Preference may be given to applicants who are bilingual in English and one (1) of the following languages: a. Spanish b. Russian c. Tagalog d. Hebrew Additional Eligibility Qualifications: 1. Selected applicants must become a Certified Passport Acceptance Agent as required by the US Department of State during the probationary period for new hires or trial period for promoted County employees. 2. The Recorder also maintains up-to-date maps which show current ownership of every section of land. Sheriff The County Sheriff is the law enforcement officer in the county and is responsible for the preservation of the peace. The Sheriff and deputies make arrests and prepare legal papers for Sheriff's sale. The Sheriff also oversees the County Jail. Surveyor The County Surveyor Office identifies and protects the section corner monuments that define record title (real property) interests. The Surveyor Office acts as a depository for all records of survey and is responsible for performing survey work for Utah County. Health The Utah County Health Department seeks to prevent avoidable disease and injury, and promote health by monitoring the health of the community, and assuring conditions in which people can be healthy. Information Systems The Information Systems department provides technology support to all Utah County government agencies. This support includes acquisition, deployment and management of computer-based workstations, software applications, local and wide-area network infrastructure, security, and information use policy. Children's Justice Center The Children's Justice Center is a homelike facility which serves children and families who are experiencing the crisis and chaos that comes with the disclosure of significant physical or sexual abuse of a child.
