ABOUT THE JOB

The Referrals Assistant provides administrative support to the Value Driven Referrals team in a virtual contact setting. Prepare reports and documents, process electronic data, handle medical records. Maintain quality control of all data and documentation and securely handle medical and sensitive information in a confidential manner.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Audit daily reporting to monitor incoming referrals are routed accurately based on VDR access by client.
  • Conduct accurate data entry in the team database (Salesforce).
  • Contact healthcare providers to obtain confidential patient medical records.
  • Assist the referral team by contacting healthcare providers for referral updates.
  • Organize and process chart/EMR inbox items. Contact appropriate providers, etc., in a timely manner and place a sense of urgency on urgent requests.
  • Assist Value Driven Referrals Leadership with other administrative tasks, as needed.
  • Maintain quality control of all data, correspondence, documentation, etc., seeking proofreading assistance and reviews as necessary.
  • Securely handle medical and sensitive information in a confidential manner according to established protocol and procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS

High School Diploma required plus a minimum of 1 year experience working in customer service, contact center, or in a role focused on administrative tasks or equivalent combination of education and experience. 6 months or more working in a healthcare setting, preferred.

DESIRED ATTRIBUTES

  • Knowledge of Privacy Act and HIPAA Privacy Rule standards to maintain compliance, and to secure and protect medical and other protected health information.
  • Experience successfully working remotely in a virtual setting preferred.
  • Strong technical expertise using Microsoft Teams and Microsoft 365 including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills. Ability to communicate medical conversations with clients, patients, business leaders and professionals.
  • Exceptional customer service skills and ability to promote teamwork. Ability to build and maintain trusting relationships by approaching all work with integrity and commitment.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task, prioritize work, execute a plan, and meet deadlines.
  • Flexibility and adaptive skills with the ability to effectively manage competing priorities in a constantly evolving workplace in a fast-paced environment.
  • A proven record of successfully working with employees, stakeholders, clients, vendors, and guests.
  • Excellent organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.

  • Ability to maintain confidential documents and communication and use judgment and discretion.

Pay Range: $19.00-22.00/hr
