Zillow is a leading real estate platform in the U.S. seeking a Manager for their Rentals Collections team to drive cash flow optimization and improve payment performance. The role involves leading a team of collections professionals, overseeing B2B collections, and collaborating with various internal stakeholders to enhance the customer payment experience.


Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team of collections specialists supporting Zillow Rentals accounts, fostering career growth and a culture of accountability.
  • Drive quarterly reductions in past-due accounts receivable balances and improvements in days-to-pay metrics.
  • Oversee all operational aspects of the collections process, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and compliance with company policies.
  • Establish, monitor, and report on operational KPIs, leveraging analytics to identify trends and drive corrective actions.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, Accounting, Sales, and Customer Success to streamline issue resolution and improve the customer payment journey.
  • Identify and implement automation and system enhancements using tools such as Zuora, HighRadius, and other financial platforms.
  • Manage escalations, implement root cause corrective actions, and proactively mitigate future collection risks.
  • Contribute to broader Finance Operations initiatives focused on scaling processes and enhancing overall cash flow management.

Skills

  • 7+ years of experience in B2B Credit and Collections, with at least 3 years in a leadership capacity managing teams or team leads.
  • Proven ability to drive measurable improvements in key collections metrics (e.g., days overdue, days to pay, dispute resolution cycle time).
  • Deep understanding of the order-to-cash process, with expertise in collections operations and customer account management.
  • Hands-on experience with collections and financial systems such as Zuora, HighRadius, Workday, Salesforce, Oracle, or SAP.
  • Strong operational focus with the ability to build, document, and refine collections workflows and policies.
  • Proficient in spreadsheet tools such as Excel and Google Sheets, with the ability to organize, analyze, and present data efficiently.
  • Skilled at balancing business acumen and empathy when engaging with internal and external customers.
  • Exceptional communication, problem-solving, and critical-thinking abilities.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration preferred.
