The Role: Designer/Stylist

As a Designer/Stylist at Hobby Lobby, you'll be responsible for creating visually stunning sets and styling products for photography and video shoots. Your goal will be to develop and maintain a consistent brand image across various marketing channels, including social media, website, and advertising. If you're a self-motivated creative with a passion for design, styling, and visual storytelling, we want to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and style sets, props, and products for photography and video shoots
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product, and creative departments
  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of brand guidelines and ensure consistency across all marketing channels
  • Conceptualize and execute creative ideas for visual content
  • Work independently and as part of a team to achieve project goals
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, design styles, and product knowledge
  • Review and edit final designs to ensure project targets have been met and are consistent with brand guidelines

Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • 2+ years of experience in a related field, such as design, styling, or visual merchandising
  • Portfolio that showcases your design and styling work, including 6-8 examples of product styling for photoshoots, video shoots, or advertising/public relations
  • Proficient in styling and design principles, including color theory, composition, and visual storytelling
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications:

While not required, the following qualifications are preferred:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as fine arts, graphic design, or visual merchandising
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Knowledge of design software, such as Adobe Creative Suite
  • Experience with photography and video production
