Today, we have expanded our footprint to more than 90 countries.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>About the Role</strong></p><p>As Temu continues to grow globally, we are seeking a Legal Counsel, Trade and Customs to manage trade and customs legal matters in the US.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Advise on U.S. and global trade regulations, including customs valuation, tariff classification, and other import-related issues.</li><li>Support internal teams—logistics, customs—on compliance policies, audits, and regulatory inquiries.</li><li>Draft and review trade-related agreements, filings, and guidance; manage and liaise with outside counsel.</li><li>Monitor regulatory developments and assess business impact.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Basic Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li>3+ years of legal experience in international trade, with experience in customs/import issues.</li><li>Juris Doctor and membership in one state bar or equivalent.</li></ul><p><strong>Preferred Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li>Strong communication skills and experience partnering with logistics teams.</li><li>Experience with custom/import issues in the e-commerce industry.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><br></p><p><strong>Compensation & Benefits</strong></p><p>The total salary for this position ranges from $200,000 to $400,000 annually, and the salary will be determined based on the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and skills, ensuring a competitive and attractive offer.
