Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in teaching various subjects, particularly in mathematics, literacy education, and creative writing. This role involves developing engaging lesson plans, managing classroom dynamics, and fostering a positive learning environment for students. The Teacher will be responsible for mentoring students, assessing their progress, and adapting instructional methods to meet diverse learning needs.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans that align with curriculum standards.
  • Teach subjects including Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Calculus, and Literacy Education.
  • Utilize learning technology to enhance student engagement and understanding.
  • Manage classroom behavior effectively to create a conducive learning atmosphere.
  • Provide tutoring and academic advising to support student success.
  • Conduct standardized testing and assess student performance regularly.
  • Mentor students in their academic pursuits and personal development.
  • Engage in curriculum development and collaborate with colleagues on educational initiatives.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff regarding student progress.
  • Foster an inclusive environment that accommodates special education needs and diverse learning styles.

Requirements

  • Proven experience working with children in an educational setting.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficiency in classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies.
  • Experience with lesson planning and curriculum development is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with AP style, Chicago Manual of Style, proofreading, copy editing, and writing skills.
  • Knowledge of Montessori methods or private school experience is a plus.
  • Background in sports coaching or teaching physical education is beneficial.
  • Understanding of childhood development principles and literacy education practices.
