ABOUT THE POSITION

The Educational Technology Media Production Assistant supports the production of online webinars and courses, and is primarily responsible for post-production tasks for all course media to meet the project's and our members' needs. This position also completes digital accessibility tasks to ensure accessibility to the widest possible audience of learners, and collaborates within the operations team to maximize the course production process. This is an entry level position.

  • Full-time W2 position, work core U.S. business hours in your time zone

  • Reports to the Director of Educational Technology
  • Must be located in the United States and be legally eligible to work for us
  • Travel is required for an annual company meeting and may be required occasionally for team or project meetings

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assist with course production by leading webinar post-production tasks, including preparation of accessible course support materials, video/audio editing and formatting, and management of course captions and written transcripts
  • Prepare course media (i.e., video and documents) for live webinars
  • Convert courses and associated media into alternative online learning formats (video, audio, text) while adhering to established media quality standards
  • Timely documentation of all tasks using online project management tools (i.e., Jira)
  • Collaborate with managing editors, continuing education administrators, and continuing education managers to meet defined production deadlines.
  • Contribute to other education projects as needed
REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor's or Associate's degree in media production or equivalent preferred
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills to communicate clearly and effectively with team members
  • Proficiency with Mac, PC, and the Google products suite
  • Excellent PowerPoint and Adobe Acrobat skills
  • Proficiency with video editing software (i.e., Camtasia, Adobe Premiere)
  • Experience with Zoom webinars
  • Experience with digital accessibility (i.e., WCAG 2.0 media guidelines, CommonLook)
  • Sound technical skills, including the ability to demonstrate problem-solving expertise with a variety of media (i.e., video, audio, digital print challenges)
  • Ability to meet productivity expectations in a fast-paced environment with high levels of attention to detail
