GBS’s priorities are set through the direction of Stripe leadership and executive vision, partnership with sales and cross-functional organizations, as well as user feedback and market insights.<br><br>What you’ll do<br><br>Stripe’s Global Business Services (GBS) team is looking for a Deal Strategist to focus on the closure of custom and standard commercial deals. You will be responsible for deal lifecycle management and supporting cross-organizational alignment. This role requires a background in driving custom deals to closure, a strong understanding of pricing frameworks, and experience supporting sales through negotiations.<br><br>The candidate will have experience with SaaS products, pricing strategies, and a background in supporting selling motions. The candidate will have strong communication skills. You will love this job if you are a natural relationship and mechanism builder.<br><br><strong>Responsibilities<br><br></strong><ul><li>Manage end-to-end customer deals —drafting, editing, and reviewing agreements—while supporting the sales cycle to ensure deal terms align with business goals, reflect strategic priorities, and close as forecasted.</li><li>Act as the primary point of contact between Sales, Legal, and other cross-functional stakeholders for deal-related questions, approvals, and escalations.</li><li>Work directly with sales teams, sales leaders, services/support teams and customers to advise on deal structures, establish compelling commercials, and drive closure of customer issues.</li><li>Advise sales teams on the best approach by understanding customer and partner requirements, while balancing custom terms with internal system constraints.</li><li>Remove internal blockers and drive solutions between cross-functional teams such as Product, Legal, Finance, Accounting, etc.</li><li>Support complex negotiations involving bespoke commercial and legal agreements.</li><li>Support the pricing and structuring of multi-threaded product use cases in all segments and industries especially in highly competitive sales.</li><li>Quickly build credibility and trust with internal customers.</li><li>Provide strong support, communication, and persuasion skills including XFN and senior leaders.<br><br><br></li></ul>Who you are<br><br>We're looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role. The preferred qualifications are a bonus, not a requirement.<br><br><strong>Minimum Requirements<br><br></strong><ul><li>BA/BS degree in Business, Technology, Finance, or Economics.</li><li>6-8+ years of experience in deal strategy/procurement/pricing strategy/financial consulting/legal.</li><li>Experience working in ambiguous, quickly scaling environments, comfortable with high-agency.</li><li>Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and project management skills.</li><li>Experience working in Payments and/or SaaS.<br><br><br></li></ul>Hybrid work at Stripe<br><br>This role is available either in an office or a remote location (35+ miles or 56+ km from a Stripe office).<br><br>In-office expectations<br><br>Office-assigned Stripes spend at least 50% of the time in a given month in their local office or with users. This hits a balance between bringing people together for in-person collaboration and learning from each other, while supporting flexibility about how to do this in a way that makes sense for individuals and their teams.<br><br>Working remotely at Stripe<br><br>A remote location is defined as being 35 miles (56 kilometers) or more from one of our offices. While you would be welcome to come into the office for team/business meetings, on-sites, meet-ups, and events, our expectation is you would regularly work from home rather than a Stripe office. Stripe does not cover the cost of relocating to a remote location. We encourage you to apply for roles that match the location where you currently live or plan to live.<br><br>Pay and benefits<br><br>The annual US base salary range for this role is $132,000 - $198,000. For sales roles, the range provided is the role’s On Target Earnings ("OTE") range, meaning that the range includes both the sales commissions/sales bonuses target and annual base salary for the role. This salary range may be inclusive of several career levels at Stripe and will be narrowed during the interview process based on a number of factors, including the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and location.
