About the position

Responsibilities

  • Review, qualify, and respond to inbound mid-market leads for GitKraken’s service offerings.
  • Engage with engineering managers and directors to understand their team's needs and challenges.
  • Schedule and lead discovery calls, demos, and product walkthroughs.
  • Provide tailored quotes and proposals that align with customer requirements to drive deals forward.
  • Manage the full sales cycle for mid-market accounts, from first touch to close.
  • Maintain accurate records of opportunities and pipeline for inbound and outbound activities.
  • Collaborate internally with sales, marketing, and product teams to provide feedback on lead quality, sales messaging, and customer needs.
  • Proactively contribute to refining and scaling our inbound sales playbook as a founding member of our sales team.

Requirements

  • 1–3 years of experience in sales, business development, or a customer-facing role in a SaaS company, selling to technical audiences.
  • Curiosity about business problems and the ability to understand prospects' issues and position technical solutions to solve those problems.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
  • Experience conducting product demos and managing a full sales cycle.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset: comfortable with ambiguity, motivated by growth, and able to take direction and initiative while building new processes.

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity with Git, developer tools, or selling into engineering audiences is a plus, but curiosity and willingness to learn are most important.
