About the position

Responsibilities

  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to educate customers in the use of the Automox platform
  • Build customer trust and relationships through education and technical leadership
  • Work closely with CSMs and partner as the technical expert to maximize customer outcomes
  • Assist with technical delivery efforts with Sales/Customer Success and Support counterparts
  • Research and evaluate technologies and create knowledge base articles that capture new information for reuse throughout the organization and for end-users
  • Provide technical support and issue resolution to our customers through ongoing issue triaging via email, telephone or remote web session
  • Escalate issues to Engineering and Support in a timely manner for resolution
  • Drive new and innovative ideas to enhance Automox's service engagements
  • Navigate challenging customer conversations effectively, delivering solutions and maintaining trust

Requirements

  • 4+ years proven experience in a customer-facing technical role such as Sales Engineer, Solutions Engineer, Desktop Support Analyst, Systems Administrator, or Solutions Architect
  • Hands-on experience managing operating systems (macOS, Windows, or Linux) and working knowledge of scripting languages (PowerShell, Bash, Python, SQL, Go, etc)
  • Skilled at diagnosing and resolving advanced technical issues, performing custom solutioning, and conducting root cause analysis
  • Experience working closely with support, engineering, and customer success teams is essential
  • Experience with configuration management tools (MECM / SCCM / WSUS / Jamf / Chef / Puppet / Ansible, or like tool sets)
  • Ability to clearly convey value-based propositions at varying levels of technical detail, from SysAdmins to C-level executives
  • Self-starter who takes ownership of challenges and delivers solutions, with a willingness to expand current skill set and contribute broadly to team and company objectives
