Aleysian, headquartered in Chicago, is a dynamic and innovative digital transformation consulting firm specializing in Salesforce and eCommerce solutions for the private sector and higher education. We are seeking an experienced and driven Salesforce Technical Architect to join our growing team!

As a Salesforce Technical Architect, you will design and manage the delivery of technical projects on the Salesforce platform, ensuring client needs and technical standards are met. The ideal candidate will mentor and guide junior development resources, supporting their growth while ensuring technically sound solutions. Technologies our Technical Architects typically work with include, but are not limited to, Salesforce.com products and APIs, Apex/Visualforce, Lightning, Amazon Web Services, Heroku, and integration/ETL tools. Our Technical Architects must maintain a comprehensive understanding of the cloud-computing ecosystem and be eager to learn new technologies as needed. This is a hybrid role based in our downtown Chicago office.

What You’ll Do

  • Designing transformational technical solutions and working directly with customers to meet their business requirements in accordance with industry best practices
  • Working closely with our functional project team and directly with clients to architect technology solutions to meet client needs
  • Serve as a Trusted Advisor, drive conversations with our customer’s IT Resources
  • Provide guidance on application and integration development best practices, functional and technical solution architecture & design, environment management, testing, and Salesforce Platform education
  • Create application and technical design documents which leverage Salesforce best practices and effectively integrate Salesforce into the customer’s infrastructure
  • Enforcing sound development practices and ensure the quality delivery of enterprise solutions
  • Mentor junior technical resources, and contribute to their career development
  • Work collaboratively and having very strong communications skills, especially as it pertains to teaching complex concepts

What We’re Looking For

  • 7+ years experience in developing technology solutions
  • 5+ years experience in managing external client projects in positions of increasing responsibility in the delivery of business consulting and systems development
  • Experience overseeing development resources
  • Relevant salesforce certifications (Platform App Builder, Salesforce Platform Developer I, Salesforce Platform Developer II)
  • Expert knowledge of Salesforce Development and Declarative technology stack or equivalent (Apex, SOQL, SOSL, Process Builder, Lightning, Visual Force)
  • Experience working with API management systems and security practices
  • Experience with Mulesoft or other middleware solutions (Boomi, Jitterbit, Informatica, etc)
  • Experience working with integrated development environments, source code management systems and workflow management systems
  • Experience with web development languages (JavaScript, AngularJS, React, HTML, JQuery, etc.) and software design patterns
  • Ability to work independently and be a self-starter
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Able to effectively present and defend point of view to a variety of audiences
  • Travel is expected and required as needed based on client preference, typically 10-20%
  • Comfortable working in a small company and a fast-paced environment
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • Eligible to work in the United States without limitation
